Good news and bad news for you today...

Good news...
I’m glad to let you lobbyists know that Justin Martin (who has led worship a few times for the lobby) is now also going to work on our general worship team development by scheduling worship leaders, worship team members and getting balls rolling on the worship songs component of our planning. Bad news...
I’m sad to let you know that Josh Katt is going to be moving to Chicago and working at a restaurant there starting in May. We’ll miss him in the church and on our lobby planning team but we send him off with our cheers!

More good news...
We had a great crowd on Sunday. It was a night with great energy and some fun stuff with the kids up front during the singing. Classic moment: when one kid meant to say he wanted to grow up to be a "veterinarian" and instead said "vegetarian" -- then 2 other kids copied her because of the laugh it got. It was nice to have a bigger number show back up too -- we must be the only church gathering around who had our lowest attendance of the year on Easter :-)

Easter Sunday Going Weekly

This coming Easter Sunday night at The Lobby several things are happening:

First, this Easter Sunday we are going to celebrate how God has been working in people’s lives. For many people that have been coming to The Lobby preview gatherings or who will come on Easter Sunday night this year has been the year they began following Jesus. At the end of the video message Pastor Dennis is going to give a creative opportunity for people make that public or even make that decision final. I think it would be so cool for many people to seal their commitment and let The Lobby celebrate with them. If this fits you or a friend I know you’ll want to participate or make sure they do!

Second, Mike Morgan will be joining us as a special guest worship leader. We have had a bunch of great musicians so far in The Lobby worship team but for this Easter I thought a special guest might be nice. Mike actually comes from our church originally but now is Worship Pastor at Watermark church and all semi-famous and stuff with a few albums to his credit :-). He is much more famous for marrying pastor Dennis & Gwen’s daughter Joni! Let’s welcome Mike to The Lobby and show him we know how to worship!
